Timoti Karetu, leader of the Maori language revitalization movement, describes how indigenous thought can serve as the conscience of majority cultures. As resources become scarcer, the need becomes greater to relearn a oneness of consideration, mutual care and acceptance.

Timoti Karetu is considered a master of the Maori language. He was one of the main figures behind the push to revitalize the Maori language in the 1970's.
