For the Sake of the Whole
Sufi teacher and dreamworker Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee thought that once people caught a glimpse of emerging oneness, they would gladly contribute their spiritual as well as material resources to it. But even in the spiritual domain, Llewellyn says, people strive more for themselves than for the sake of the whole.
Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, Ph.D., is a sheikh in the
Naqshbandiyya-Mujaddidiyya Order of Sufism. He has specialized in the
area of dreamwork, integrating the ancient Sufi approach to dreams with
the insights of modern psychology. In recent years the focus of his
writing and teaching has been on spiritual responsibility in our
present time of transition, and the emerging global consciousness of
oneness. Author of several books on the subject, Llewellyn has lectured
extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. He
currently lives in California.
