Industrialization, Imperialism and Colonization
Actor Cliff Curtis offers the perspective that the trinity of industrialization, imperialism and colonialism served an important function by linking humanity closely together. This line of imperialist development has reached its fulfillment, however, and in order to restore balance, we must now adopt an indigenous perspective of belonging to the planet, not vice-versa.

wait a minute i forgot to comment on his video okay honestly i think the idea of one group calling themselves superior to any indigeonous group is horrendous, when i think about the American Indians who were nearly wiped off the planet and the survivors now struggle with economic problems and health problems having changed their traditional community models is very tragic. No imperialism or colonisation or industrialisation came without the death of many many innocent people. Europeans brought diseases, and violence and HABITS alot of them bad ones. I guess that's the human way. In 17th century England the Chinese introduced the use of Opium and Opiates. Silk got to Europe by way of the monks and other travelers. Trade routes in Savanah Africa opened the country to Gold and Diamond mining and alot of problems Africa has today. I really say i don't know enough to give Imperialism - Industrialization - Colonization has done more good than harm. I can say personally i feel slighted, having trouble tracing both sides of my family - do know one great great grandfather was a white man who like pro-creating his own slaves to save money. I know my grandmother was Half American INdian and Had a smattering of African and who knows what else. Since like the Australians my family history is broken - like the American Indian - I feel a oneness to the Aboriginine, Maori, Samoan, American Indian because we got the short end of the stick when it comes to Industrialism - Colonisation, - Imperialism. I only know one language which is something I remember you Cliff Curtis complained about growing up not learning Maori Re. I feel short changed and always trying to catch up to myself spritually. I'm going back to my natural hair and body and leaving what the people who brought my ancestors here behind. I mean some things were good that we were taught - Knitting, Crochet from the Arab world some artistic hobbies and some instruments but actually we owe our progress to indigenous people in ancient history our mathmatical system, building boats, building the pyramids etc.
he's my favorite actor i think i fell for him when i saw him in jubilee and his other pictures. i can't wait to see all of his movies. he's played so many cultures from Columbian revolutionaries to mexican drug lords, to Uzbekistan peasants to Arab muslim Immigration agent to Black and back again. I loved River Queen because it showed off his most sexy romantic side. his persona is multi-faceted i hope to see alot more of him. I hope he becomes the first Maori Actor to win an Oscar it's his time.
