We are Servants, Not Owners

Environmentalist and artist Juan Manuel Carrion describes how within one generation, most of Ecuador's forests were eliminated, leaving a struggling fraction of the original ecological richness. He asks: What is needed to change the destructive economic model that profits from destroying natural environments? Do we need a cataclysm to force us to change, or can we find a model based on shared spiritual values of service to the planet?
