The Karmapa's First Visit to the U.S.

On his first visit to the United States, His Holiness the Seventeenth Gyalwang Karmapa is visiting several cities, including New York City and Boulder, Colorado. On May 29 he will be landing in Seattle, Washington, where he will offer two days of public teachings at the historic Paramount Theater. Father Thomas Keating on Oneness

This weekend we attended Oneness and the Heart of the World, a meeting of two mystical traditions, with Fr. Thomas Keating and Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee. At the foot of the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Boulder, Colorado, these two teachers came together to talk about oneness and how we can serve the whole through spiritual practice. Father Keating is a monk and retired abbot of the Cistercian Order. He is one of the architects of Centering Prayer, a contemporary form of the Christian contemplative tradition. We were fortunate to film his talk at this event, which is available here.

We were saddened to hear the news of Dr. Nirmala Deshpande's death this morning, who we had the privilege of interviewing last March.
